Jarana is a colloquial Spanish word that means revelry, a lively, boisterous celebration, the ruckus of people getting together to have fun.

We at Depeapa are big fans of jarana, the concept that inspired this collection of necklaces, the ideal accessory for going out and having a good time. Of course, they’re not restricted to holidays. In our opinion, any day of the week is a good day to have fun, extemporize and go with the flow, and if it’s with a Jarana around your neck, even better.

The necklaces in the Jarana collection combine pieces of wood, glass, pottery and cork, all coming together in simple, cheerful compositions.

The chain is 18k gold-plated brass with a final nickel- and lead-free 24k gold flash bath. All of our plating is done in a workshop in Barcelona. The necklaces come in a screen-printed cotton bag, which you can use to keep your necklace when you’re not wearing it or fill with your treasures.

So, come on! Dance like nobody’s watching, sing a cappella with an improvised microphone, put your responsibilities behind you for a bit and do whatever you want. You’ll feel the positive effects immediately!

All of the names of the necklaces in this collection come from days of festivity and cheer.

Get moving! Put on your Jarana and dance!
