‘Siesta’ is a collection of five organic cotton twill cushions with geometric and pastel designs inspired by traditional craft techniques like tapestry, patchwork and the abstract motifs found in Berber rugs. This collection sprang from the desire to learn all of these techniques in a small homage to this handiwork, drawing on the textile printing that is my current focus.

‘Siesta’ is a life unhurried; it’s basking in the sun, contemplating, sewing, reading, drawing, strolling, watering the garden. ‘Siesta’ is living life without the stress of work. It’s the sea, a caravan. It’s putting your feet into a freezing river. These are all things that you can dream about while resting your head on one of these cushions as you take a siesta.
